Thanks a lot guys,problem is solved a mate of mine let me have a good one at a bargain £30.My broken one is attracting bids on ebay too,so alls well ends well!Thanks again!

i remember droping my cordless home fone down the loo after a few glasses of wine hehe,and thought it was broke,left it on the radiator for two days,and its in full working order again lol
